</> I'm Layla. I'm married to my best friend since March 2007 and we're expecting our first child in July 2008. I've never been more excited/overwhelmed in my entire life. I'm fat and happy, some might even say 'jolly.' I just quit my job of 3 years teaching two year olds to prepare to be a mommy and oversee the construction of our first home together. I pretend to be crafty, but I'm really not-- I'm just amazed by other crafty people. I spend most of my time making lists and worrying, but I'm trying to get over that. I'm an open minded liberal Christian and that defines who I am, and if you have a problem with that-- we probably shouldn't be friends. I recently left school, but plan on going back to pursue a degree in elementary education. Children are my passion, most likely because I'm actually a big kid myself. I'm pretty quiet these days, as I'm trying to learn how to sit back and observe without sticking my nose in other people's business. I'm an emotional roller coaster and I can go from sobbing to hysterical laughter in 10 seconds flat. I have the most amazing family and have no clue where I'd be without them. I always welcome new friends, though I rarely update my journal-- I mainly use it for community participation. I feel like a completely different person than I was a year ago and that can be hard to deal with at times, so please don't add me if you're not open to at least a little bit of whining. I am completely content with my life and don't need any negativity weighing me down, so please leave that at the door. Basically I'm just a girl who is trying to live her life in a way that is pleasing to God and attempting to appreciate all the little moments along the way.
